Looking below Darjeeling town one sees the Little Rungeet, and on its other side is Kizom Block, now
called Naya Nore, the epicentre of the stories herein.
We see the good, the bad, and the ugly of the then populace, but above all, we see the simplicity, humility, and harmonious intermingling of societies in the true spirit of “the world is one family” (basudhaiwa kutumbakum).
Each story unfolds different aspects of the rich cultural and traditional heritage that is the true legacy of the Darjeeling hills; values to be remembered and emulated to preserve The Queen of the Hills in its intrinsic and pristine beauty.
