The poems in this book are divided into six Parts, with sub-titles for each Part. The fact that the poet has chosen the sub-title of the second Part as the title of this book itself amply suggests that the voice heard in this Part is the lead voice in the choir of all the poems. And relatively this Part contains more pages than in other Parts. Some excerpts: "With her snooty/nose turned further upward / throws disdainful glances/around / towards her thirsty devotees.’ /She behaves this way/ as because‘ / their Goddess too / like the hill leaders / has been/sold to the highest bidder."
